We play eve because of what it currently is. If CCP is heading in the direction that it looks like it is.. you are opening your doors to another community of players... not MORE, it may or not be BIGGER, but certainly some OTHER community of players.
I play because of current game mechanics, because it took me time to get to where I am, and you can NOT buy your way to here. I've grinded my way to 8.0+ standings for empire jump clones on three different characters. I put a lot of work and effort into getting my benefits and skills and ships, the moment I see that ANYONE can get ANY of that by pulling out their credit card... I'm gone, me and my 3 accounts, just gone. Because being ahead of the curve is a matter of pride, and getting my ship blown up hurts, and that's why I love this game.
Take that away and it's just another P2P.. which I have never been interested in.

Dear CCP,
We are not going to stand by and let this happen, we will not accept a softer introduction of the same things being protested, and we will not accept the sale of non-vanity items without the input of players, in your PLAYER RUN ECONOMY.
I don't care if it's rainbow ammo, if it does damage, and a player didn't make it, it's wrong. Vanity would be like the nano-paint, or a tracer to add to ammo that does not change their amount or their damage or range etc. That is vanity, it doesn't do anything besides LOOK different.
You should be responding and staying on top of this.. oh you had to sleep?? This is the stuff game designers and developers should lose sleep over in order to fix what's gone wrong.
Stop waiting, and planning, if feels too much like scheming at this point, it's time to come forward, show your faces, and talk to your player-base.

I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said.
I agree with Svennig, maybe Viibl Triibl really is that naive (or dumb) but the issue here is the lies, and CCP's lack of accountability to their player base. I'll be holding their wallets accountable by not emptying mine for them anymore until this is addressed and FIXED.

Yeah this isn't exactly going to cool off.. I may not respond for a few hours since I'm late writing my end-term paper, but I will be watching and participating in this thread and many other players like me will keep this alive until CCP responds effectively... I should stress that, "EFFECTIVELY", to what they have said and plan on doing. It least we're no longer getting lame going-no-where responses from them.
We're not cooling down, We'll keep this up till you respond or our current subscriptions expire and you die to us (speaking for whoever the hell wants to back me up on that)

I also like to thank CCP for one of the best expansions in long time.
You must be kidding.. he's kidding right? Someone tell me he's kidding.

This is the only thing that needs an answer right now, everything else comes second to this vital question, simple as.
Yup.. time to answer the question..
Hint: There is only one right answer.
Question 2: Does CCP know what the answer is? Question 3: if they do know.. why aren't they saying it and putting water on the fire? Question 4: Do they know their game is on fire?
I'm getting more upset with CCP still not responding.. I know it's tough to tell your fellow DEVs that they won't EACH get their own playboy mansion... but times are tough.

Would it get their attention if we all stormed Jita? I'm prepared to send 3 accounts there at a moments notice.

I am in support of cramming into Jita. It may have a cap, but that means others can't enter to do their trading. If CCP bans me at this point for openly saying this, they'll have made my decision that much easier as I'm very quickly losing heart for EVE.

For those who don't understand.. The Jita Protest only began after CCP failed to show up to their own Parley. It is our way of reaching past the forums (which are easily ignored as they are proving right now) and into the game itself. This is a protest, and it is doing what a protest does, it inconveniences the people that we are trying to get the attention of.
When CCP responds effectively, I will log off both my characters from Jita and see what CCP has to say.

This is so fail CCP.. Answer the question, you know the question, the one you keep ignoring.
In Jita shooting the monument, doing my part to make the lightshow keep going and get more people aware of why we're doing and what CCP thinks of us.

I have three accounts in eve online that I'm going to let slide into expiration until CCP fixes this debacle. I have a plex on each ready to use if CCP smartens up, if they don't I'll reactivate for an hour and give them away (one less thing for someone to pay CCP for)
CCP you have gone too far this time. Get a grip!

I think it is pretty clear that CCP 'DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR THREATS' they only care if you actually cancel your subscription. They assume that by not cancelling you are so dependant on the game that you will whine and moan but at the end of the day you wont leave.
Do you want to make them rethink their whole MT strategy? then cancel because to CCP anything less is complete drivel.
She has a point guys.. I got two accounts expiring in about a week, I ain't renewing them.. the account I'm considering keeping, I'm using to post things like... GM Horse is an a-hole.... Hilmar needs to get his head out of his ass.. etc. basically, walking the line and saying to CCP.. look, fix your ****, or just ban me.. because if you don't fix your ****, I'm not interested anyways.

Moraguth > let me get this timeline straight: internal newsletter debating pro/con of MT. Dev blog saying no MT for non-vanity items. Incarna - high monacle prices. hilmar Email predicting complaints/stay the course. zulu devblog doesn't answer questions. rioting.
I enjoyed the rioting.. And the laser show is working, I had a conversation with a nice guy undocking who was asking what was going on and informed him. He was in full support of what we were doing, I had to open a new convo with him on another character though as the one I was on originally got gagged by.. you guessed it, our favorite GM Horse.
Anyways, people are noticing, keep it up. I'll be back at it tomorrow I'm sure.
Orrr.. I'll be banned, and won't give a damn.
Get a brain CCP, aren't you already in financial trouble?? Won't losing our subscriptions hurt? Btw, we're big boys and girls.. we could handle it if all the mining bots were banned, we're the eve community, we're strong, stronger than you btw. Something for you to think about.

Originally by: Moraguth As far as I've been able to read, all the stuff about non-vanity MT is all speculation and hypothesis. I haven't seen an actual, certified, post anywhere claiming that this will be the case. The only official thing I've seen is the Dev blog from a few months ago where they categorically state that there will be NO MT for non-vanity items.
And yet they somehow failed to answer the question posed throughout the thread.. Hmm.. use your head man, do you honestly expect they would just... forget to answer that important question? Were they Sooooo "focused" on the other things that we weren't upset about that they couldn't include the one thing that was causing the riots?
Get a grip you idiot, CCP did not answer that question because they know we would revolt at the answer. So we can logically conclude that they do intend to do more with MT than just vanity items..
Seriously.. and you call yourself an eve player.

MT doesn't bother me, as long as it's for Vanity items only. Give players rainbow Mining lasers attachments, or Propulsion modifiers that do nothing more than change the animation of of the thrust.
But for the love of all that is right with EVE-Online, please don't sell Ships that evade production, or ammo or modules.
The very very very worst thing you could possibly do is sell SP. I've been patiently biding my time to get the SP I have... and I've accepted that wait because every character in eve has had to endure it. Maybe sell an implant to characters less than 2 months old that only works for a month or so to help boost their training rates, another get-them-into-the-game faster thing, but players with more SP than people twice their age in-game... would ruin EVE-Online.
I sincerely hope that CCP isn't just beating around the bush with what they have been saying of late, and I hope that the emergency CSM meeting isn't just a PR stunt or a request for advice from them on how to force unwanted content down our throats. If that is similar at all to what will happen I hope the CSM walks out on you.
Eve online is fantastic, it truly is. It could use some more attention, but the game itself and the concept are truly one-of-a-kind. This thread is over 400 pages long because we love this game. You need more cash? Increase the cost of 1 month of subscription time. I have much less of a problem with that than non-vanity MTs.
